Frequenly Asked Questions
What kind of work do you do?
I’m an illustrator and visual artist working primarily in mixed media and digital collage. My work includes fine art prints and originals, commissioned artwork, editorial illustration, licensing, and select long-form projects such as books. I’m drawn to work with depth, cultural meaning, and thoughtful storytelling.
What artwork is available on your website?
I offer a selection of fine art prints and original works.
As a general reference:
-
Fine art prints (paper): $180–$450
-
Canvas prints: $350–$900
-
Embellished canvas prints: starting at $950
-
Original mixed-media artwork: $1,200+
Pricing varies based on size, medium, and production method. Embellished canvases are hand-finished, and each piece is unique.
Do you take commissions?
Yes, I accept a limited number of commissions each year.
Because commissioned work is fully custom and highly personal, private commissions are my most premium offering.
Commission pricing typically starts at:
-
$2,000+ for personal or private commissions
-
$1,200+ for editorial or organizational commissions
Final pricing depends on scope, size, timeline, and intended use.
Why are private commissions priced higher?
Private commissions involve significant creative investment, personalization, and exclusivity. Each piece is developed from concept to completion specifically for the client, often through close collaboration. For this reason, private commissions are priced higher than editorial work or licensing.
Do you illustrate children’s books?
Occasionally. I’m selective with children’s book projects and take them on only when the vision, scope, and collaboration are a strong fit.
Children’s book illustration generally starts at:
-
$6,000+ for a full picture book project
-
$250–$500 per interior illustration
-
$600–$1,200 for a cover illustration
Pricing depends on the number of illustrations, complexity, and timeline.
What is your general price range?
Every project is different, but as a reference:
-
Prints and canvases range from the hundreds to low thousands
-
Original artwork and commissions typically begin in the four-figure range
-
Long-form or highly customized projects are quoted individually
Can I use your art for a bulletin board or classroom display?
Yes. You’re welcome to print artwork for a bulletin board or classroom display for non-commercial, educational use.
I do ask that credit is clearly given near the display or in accompanying materials.

Can I use your art in an educational book?
Possibly. This depends on the specific artwork and how it will be used.
Use in an educational book requires a licensing agreement and fee. Licensing fees are based on the size of the file and scope of use, and are generally lower than commissioned work.
Do you license your artwork?
Yes. Licensing allows the use of existing artwork without transferring ownership.
Licensing fees are based on file size and usage, and typically start at:
-
$150–$300 for small-file educational or limited-use projects
-
$300–$600 for standard print or editorial use
-
$750+ for larger files, broader distribution, or commercial use
Exclusive or extended licenses are quoted individually.
Do you require credit when artwork is used or licensed?
Yes. Unless otherwise agreed, credit is required for educational, editorial, and licensed uses.
Standard credit line:

Credit placement should be reasonable and appropriate to the format.
Do you offer rush work?
Rush timelines may be possible depending on availability and scope and are subject to an additional fee. Standard timelines are discussed at the start of each project.
How does payment work?
For commissioned and book projects, a 50% deposit is required to begin work, with the balance due upon completion. Licensing fees are due prior to use unless otherwise agreed.
How do I inquire about a project?
You can reach out via the contact form with a brief description of your project, including intended use, approximate scope, and timeline. I review inquiries personally and will respond if the project is a potential fit.
Do you accept every project?
No. I’m thoughtful about the projects I take on and prioritize work that aligns with my style, values, and availability.
